…The blog is about to emerge from hibernation, look for fresh posts along with our favorite harbinger of spring - daffodils, tulips and crocus - coming soon!
Winter has come and is almost gone
I am not sure about you all but this winter was a blur, and not just because of the snow... We had client projects for our interiors, staging and styling divisions, the kids had an extra week off from school after the holidays thanks to the snow, and we've been gearing up for the Charleston Symphony Orchestra 41st Annual Designer Show House (March 14th - April 15th) as well as the 71st Annual Historic Charleston Festival of Houses & Gardens for a client's house and my own (March 17th & 2Oth) , whew it has been a busy season!
Throughout all of the hectic project planning and client installations I've done my best to protect my family time and carve out little moments for relaxation... in January we instituted a moratorium on travel and I tested the waters on a spending fast (no new clothing or eating out)... while these may sound like extreme measures, they allowed our family to regroup after a hectic holiday season and gave us the time we needed to recharge. Not to mention valuable extra time to work on all of those projects that had been piling up around the house.
We are looking forward to a beautiful spring in Charleston filled with lots of celebrations with friends and family as the weather warms and the days get longer... we hope to see you on the Historic Charleston tour or at the Symphony Show House!
Above is a sneak peek at what we've been working on and some of the fun we had along the way... Stay tuned for our spring post, there will be plenty of pictures of the Tour, Show House, visit with our friends from Italy & our upcoming buying trip to Palm Beach.
Until then, stay inspired!

Imaging the possibilities which await you inside...
Thank you for visiting, we are looking forward to bringing you seasonal blog content for styling your home and enjoying the life you live in it!
With the change of each season come both welcome updates and the unexpected... this season let's try to embrace the process & those unexpected elements (I'm normally at the front of the line to race to a finished product)... but I have learned to slow down in recent months and enjoy all of the unexpected joys that otherwise get lost in the rush to perfection.
This family snap shot was taken as we were mid-renovation on our last house... if I had waited until the front stoop awning was completed we never would have captured this cherished moment with our young children. We love hearing our son recount his favorite tales from "the pink house" and are so thankful to have taken the time to capture some of those memories on film.
